Newcastle mull bid for Man United’s Hernandez

CT-Manchester_United_FC_crest.Newcastle United are ready to offer Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez a way out of Old Trafford after the striker made clear that he would be prepared to move to gain more playing time.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is a long-term admirer of the player, but it was thought next to impossible to prise him away from the club.

However, recently the player has become more and more disillusioned at being sidelined and is known to resent his “supersub”  tag.

Hernandez  who as made just two starts this seasons acknowledges that it does not get much bigger than playing for Man United but says that he needs ” more opportunities”. and feels that he needs to become a first team regular.

Pardew would be keen on making a January approach, though the position of football director Joe Kinnear on the player is unclear.

Other clubs likely to be interested include A C Milan and Juventus, though at present United are not keen to sell.
