Barnaby Festival organisers are tracking down artists to take part in next year’s Art Trail – and they hope this will be the best yet.
The Art Trail has already become a much anticipated highlight of the Macclesfield Barnaby Festival giving artists from near and far the chance to showcase their work in venues as diverse as a town centre café to the disused Georgian gem, Christ Church.

Now Barnaby organisers are inviting artists to submit applications to be part of next year’s Art Trail by Monday November 18.

Anna Riordan, Barnaby’s Visual Arts Director, said: “The Barnaby Art Trail has grown up alongside the festival and it’s now become quite a fixture in the arts calendar. Artists love the idea of exhibiting in unusual and quirky spaces and places around Macclesfield Town Centre. And they rise to the challenge of working to a theme. This year it’s industry and we know there is a rich seam of creativity out there just waiting to be tapped.
