Warrington Wolves have confirmed that they will not offer a new contract to back row forward Lee Mitchell.

The 24-year-old spent last year on loan with Castleford Tigers, who finished the season second from bottom in the Super League.

His loan deal ends on 30 November, as does his contract with Wolves, and he will now become a free agent.

Warrington said in a statement that Mitchell is now expected to play in Brisbane, Australia, for a year.

“All at Warrington Wolves would like to thank Lee for his service to the club and wish him well for the future,” it added.
