Manchester Phoenix will get the chance to meet the 2013-14 squad when the club holds its annual Meet the Players night tonight in Altrincham.
Player-coach Tony Hand will be joined by the entire roster, including playoff-winning captain Luke Boothroyd, goalie Steve Fone and last season’s top scorer Michal Psurny, along with summer additions Frantisek Bakrlik, Jack Watkins, Jacob Corson-Heron and Joe Graham.

There are also rumours that the Phoenix chief could unveil a new signing at the free event, which will take place at the Cresta Court Hotel.

In addition, fans will be introduced to players from the club’s sledge hockey team, who wrapped up their debut season by finishing third in the British Sledge Hockey League playoffs at the weekend, and the women’s team, who will unveil their new jersey.

Supporters will also have the chance to win a free season ticket.

Phoenix start their preparations for the new season this weekend with the two-legged War of the Roses challenge against the Sheffield Steeldogs. The first game takes place over the Pennines on Saturday night before Andre Payette’s team come to the Altrincham Ice Dome on Sunday (face-off 5.30pm).
