Cheshire gallery Clark Art opened its doors to private bank Brown Shipley for an exclusive ‘investing in art’ networking event last week.

Gallery owner Bill Clark gave visitors from the bank a private viewing of his winter exhibition and discussed tops tips for investing in art to a captive audience.

A number of top Northern artists, represented by Clark Art, were in attendance including Ben Kelly, Liam Spencer, Stephen Campbell, Reg Gardner and Phil George.

Four of Lowry’s iconic paintings are included in the exhibition, including one worth £1.15 million.

Peter Stiles, private client director at Brown Shipley said: “We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Bill Clark was informative and provided some very useful insights. It was also a great opportunity to meet some of the artists and discuss their work.”

The winter show opens 21st November and will run until early 2014. It is open for viewing at Clark Art gallery from Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 5.30pm.
