Ticket details for Wirral Libraries’ headline event at Bookfest 2013 have been announced.

Roger McGough will appear at Bromborough Civic Centre on 9th October at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and include a glass of wine.

They can be purchased from West Kirby, Birkenhead Central, Wallasey Central, Bebington Central and Bromborough Libraries.

The legendary Liverpudlian poet, translator, writer of the Beatles animated film Yellow Submarine, presenter of Radio 4’s Poetry Please and former member of Sixties chart-toppers The Scaffold will join other well-known authors and poets for Bookfest, Wirral’s largest literary festival.

McGough, who has been described by poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy as ?the patron saint of poetry’, will perform poetry from his new anthology As Far As I Know.
