The England and Wales Cricket Board today confirmed that the Durham pace bowler Callum Thorp has received a penalty under its discipline code.

During the LV= County Championship match between Durham and Warwickshire on May 2-5 2012, Thorp was reported by umpires Richard Kettleborough and Neil Bainton for a level one breach of the code (abuse of cricket ground, equipment or fixtures/fittings).

Thorp has received a reprimand. This penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an automatic suspension.
