Weaver Hall Museum and Workhouse in Northwich is appealing for objects from the 1950s and 1960s for a special exhibition which looks at what it was like being a teenager or young adult in the decades after the Second World War.
The exhibition titled ‘Coming of Age in Cheshire in the 50s and 60s’ will open on 20 September.
It will explore the milestones and experiences of becoming an adult during this time, including, leaving home, getting married and greater freedoms for women.
‘Coming of Age’ will include local people’s memories and stories and museum staff are looking for objects from residents to borrow for the exhibition.
