Two local takeaway traders have been fined following a successful prosecution by Warrington Borough Council.
Messrs Chouchane and Jehamneh, of Petra Pizza & Kebab House, Knutsford Road, Latchford, appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
The pair were charged with 10 food hygiene offences including failure to implement and maintain a documented food safety management system and failure to protect foods against contamination likely to render the food unfit for human consumption.
They pleaded guilty to eight out of the 10 offences and each defendant was fined £100 per offence and each was ordered to pay £445 towards prosecution costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
The court gave credit for their guilty pleas and considered their history of poor compliance, including the previous cautions from 2011 for similar infractions.
