The Cock in Treacle (formally the Town House)in Macclesfield is one of the latest local pubs to be given the Atwill pubs make over.
Freshly refurbished to a high standard the chain hopes that this will continue to give back to local communities what made them great in the first place, a true traditional English pub boasting fine ales and a range of old top shelf favourites.

The opening has increased Atwill’s estate – it is already in Congleton and Stockport – and it aims to grow to 20 sites by the financial year’s end.

The company’s philosophy is to support the local economy in each of the towns it enters by sourcing ales from small micro-breweries.

Having seen the changing face of the Cock in Treacle over the past few years the group chain hope to bring a stability to the pub and give Macclesfield’s residents a place they can feel at home in a warm and friendly environment.

The Cock In Treacle now includes a stunning newly refurbished Function Room tht will comfortably fit 60/80 guests, and can double up as a dance floor.
