Wirral Council is offering grant funding to local organisations with plans
to help develop the borough’s food economy.

Following the success of the Better Food Wirral Conference in April, the Better Food Wirral Innovation Fund is offering grants of up to £1000 to not-for-profit groups to support innovative new projects aimed at increasing access to good food, supporting the local food market or encouraging people to make good food choices. Projects should meet at least one of these three
criteria.

Applications are open now, and will close on 14th July 2014 at 1pm.

The funding programme is being delivered by Community Action Wirral and both workshops will be held at their offices at Liscard Road, Wallasey.

Two workshops have been arranged to offer advice and support for interested organisations, on Monday 23rd June 18:00-19:00 and Tuesday 24th June 10:00-11:00.

To book a place at a workshop, visit www.vcawirral.org.uk and complete the online form.
