Earlier this month Helsby Community Sports Club played host to the hottest ticket in town, the 7th Helsby Beer Festival.
Commenting, Graham Evans MP said: “It was fantastic to see the people of Helsby coming together to enjoy a pint! I praise the hard work and dedication that has gone in from the organisers and sponsors to put on this Beer Festival and I certainly hope it won’t be the last!”
Councillor Alan McKie: “This is an excellent example of club members providing an event in the community to support and raise funds to ensure the continuation of the Helsby Community Sports Club until our new sports complex is available”.
Jimmy Walker: “I’m pleased with the support of all the committee members in putting together the weekend programme and obtaining the varied and wide range of speciality beers on offer”
