Cheshire new Amazed by Science Festival is taking place at a variety of venues across the area 24th May-1st June.

It’s not just the big, iconic venues like Jodrell Bank, Tatton Park and Chester Zoo that are staging a fantastic line-up of events.

Smaller locations are staging equally amazing science shows too that are just perfect for a day out and all of them are FREE!

Among them are Lovell Quinta Arboretum presenting a Treemendous Trail on 26th May and Congleton Town Hall with its Science Made Simple Show on 30th May. Bees are being celebrated throughout the festival at places like Norton Priory with its Bee-utiful Bee Trail 24th May-1st June; and Daresbury Science Park where visitors can find out all about The Amazing Little
Honeybee 30th May, while Catalyst Science Discovery Centre tells you all about Stings! throughout the festival.

Anson Engine Museum at Poynton (pictured) is well worth a visit too. There’s plenty of hands-on science too with the Dig Detectives at Norton
Priory near Runcorn 26th-27th May, and a Soldering Workshop at Anson Engine Museum on 31st May, while Port Sunlight tells you all about Building Bridges 27th-28th May.

The festival takes place from 24th May to 1st June and aims to capture children’s’ imaginations and excite families about science in Cheshire and Warrington.

Other venues included in the event programme include Jodrell Bank, Delamere
Forest, Chester Zoo, Macclesfield Silk Museum, Chester Cathedral, Reaseheath
Agricultural College, Tatton Park and the Hack Green Nuclear Bunker.
