From 18 to 26 February 26, Tatton Park’s popular Scarecrow Festival returns to the award-winning Gardens and working Farm of this historic estate in Knutsford. With a reputation for originality and surprise, this entertaining family event continues to be an annual favourite for children looking for simple outdoor fun and creativity during the school half-term holidays.
This year, though, something magical is happening in the 50-acre gardens where children can follow a trail to uncover the secret location of mystical fairies, cheeky gnomes and mischievous elves, each representing a colour of the rainbow.
Head Gardener Simon Tetlow confirms, “This year we are inspired by the gnomes who work the night shift here in the gardens doing vital work, alongside the pixies and elves, in keeping the garden spic and span.”
Scarecrow Festival: everyday from Saturday, 18 February to Sunday, 26 February (note: Farm closed Monday, 20 February)
