Liverpool FC to splash out in January

lfc crestLiverpool are seeking to consolidate their title challenge by strengthening in the January transfer window. And it appears that the club’s owners although cautious over spending are ready to release funds.

German magazine SportBild claims manager Jurgen Klopp has been given a budget of €47m, roughly £40m, to spend in the window.

Published in their highly-regarded ‘Inside Kolumne’, SportBild name 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen star Julian Brandt as a main target for the Klopp.

The German club are reportedly holding out for a similar fee Manchester City paid for Leroy Sane last summer, around €50m.

Rather silly. How is a 20 yr.old going to slot into the team immediately. We need players who are up and running now! Anyway we are a selling club not a buying one.
