Liverpool are considering a bid for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart in an attempt to strengthen what is seen as a weak position for a team in the midst of a title challenge.
Hart, currently on loan with Italian club Torino, was sidelined at City after new manager Pep Guardiola reached the conclusion that his distribution skills were not up to the standard required; a decision that continues to bewilder the team’s fans.
However, Liverpool have now decided to run the rule over the England number one, who could be available for around £8 million.
According to one national newspaper, Hart would jump at the chance of a move to Anfield. It reported that the goalkeeper “has told pals he would jump at the chance to make the switch to Anfield under Jurgen Klopp” and that he
“wants City to play ball if Liverpool are willing to negotiate a deal in the summer.”
