Senior police officers go back to the frontline

This week 80 senior Cheshire police officers and managers will be going out on the frontline to spend a day walking in the shoes of their colleagues.

On Friday 9 December everyone from the Chief Constable to the Head of Legal Services are going ‘Back to the Floor’ to experience first-hand the roles and challenges that staff face on a daily basis.

Every department will be covered throughout the 24 hour period from neighbourhood policing and custody to the dog unit and force control centre.

This is the third ‘Back to the Floor’ event to take place in the Force and the first time that colleagues from partner agencies will be taking part. Staff from Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council and those involved in the Criminal Justice process will be getting involved on the day.
