Superdrug launches spray for back acne

Spots on the back and body is one of the most embarrassing and annoying problems for men.  And the growth of men working out and going to the gym has seen a rise in men suffering from spotty backs.

Working out in the gym is thought to exacerbate spots on the body; the body’s temperature increases, and exercise boosts the production of the skin’s natural oil – sebum.  Add to this gym clothing which doesn’t wick the sweat away from the body and a trip to the gym can provide the perfect breeding ground for skin problems.

While many people use products designed for facial use, the skin on our bodies is different and requires a specific formulation to effectively fight blemishes.

Now to meet the growing problems Superdrug has created a new product specifically designed to fight spots on the back and body.

Deep Action Spot Clearing Body Spritz (£2.69) has been designed to give visible difference from the first day of use, fighting spots and blackheads and soothing redness.

The Body Spritz has been formulated with the maximum permitted concentration of Salicylic Acid, which is scientifically proven to unclog pores and eliminate spot causing bacteria to help prevent breakouts.  The quick drying formula instantly soothes skin and with regular use, helps to minimise spot redness for a clearer looking complexion.

Dave Cooke, Superdrug head of own brand comments: “The rise of young men taking care of their bodies is great to see, but our customer feedback tells us that it has also seen a rise in the number of people suffering from spotty skin.

“And obviously when your body is honed from hours in the gym, they want to show it off and not have to worry about covering up to hide blemishes.

“This new body spritz is designed to be effective and is the first treatment we’ve launched specifically for spotty backs and bottoms.”

Spray onto the skin morning and evening, and then once the skin clears use two to three times a week.  Like everything in the Superdrug skincare range Deep Action Spot Clearing Body Spritz carries the leaping bunny symbol of Cruelty Free International and is suitable for use by vegans.
